Here are some photos from that island adventure I went on with Kev last week:

Here's a map of our flight (Seattle is just south of Edmonds, but it got cropped off):

The view from my seat prior to takeoff.

Kev is flying over the north end of the Puget Sound in this photo. We're looking northwest at sunset. (I think that's a chunk of Canada way up there in the top-right of the photo!)

Looking east at dusk. Mt. Baker is in the distance and the light of the full moon is bouncing off of the water.

Here's Kev after he tied down the plane at our destination! We landed at a small, dark airport in Friday Harbor. We walked about seven minutes into town and had a really tasty dinner!

Haha, wow, Weldergeek! Looks like a total trip.
Funny you should post that just now. Bri and I just got done watching a Mythbusters episode with skydiving involved.
My mom used to go skydiving when we were kids. She has some fun (and scary!) stories to tell.

Hey, weldergeek, didn't know, that you're such a venturesome lady... Very Happy

That looks breathtaking, really!!! And it reminds me of the
"Somewhere over the rainbow" song somehow:

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Thanks for sharing Smile

Those are some intense pictures! I appreciate that I can "live the experience" through your images... and not have to do it myself. Cool

::DOUBLE POASTAGE::

I tossed this up over at UO, thought I'd bring it to the locals as well.

It's been a while since I've had my daft ol' mug up here... so here's a fresh one of me and my Godson at his Baptism:

It is worthy to note, that the booties the li'l tyke is wearing are the very same booties that I wore at my baptism.

C'mon... let's hear some "Awwww"s in honor of my cute Godson.
