Right now,
A trouble ticket.
Quote: | Subject: /ignore is not a solution
I understand that in many cases, the easiest "fix" for a situation with an unruly player may be to simply ignore the person. Theoretically, we're mature adults and we shouldn't need a nannying presence to come in and restore order. The ResEngs have enough other more important things to do. Except life isn't really that perfect. Governments and police exist because there are those among us who are unruly and make life unpleasant for those around them.
I'll make this brief and polite: There are some players who will do anything to draw attention in a crowded room. Such players may be easily /ignore-d, BUT... there will always be people in the crowd who do not /ignore, and these people will respond, which can be almost as aggrevating as the attention-seeker. And a reasonable player won't want to /ignore each and every person who has been baited by the attention troll.
Therefore, in such cases, /ignore is not a solution. When multiple players page the ResEng to remove someone from a room, heed them. Do not say, "Well, the actor is not having a problem with them." It doesn't matter if the actor is not experiencing a problem. The experience of the players is what matters.
Thank you for considering this point. |

Right now...very interesting, Marten, and I agree /ignore is not a solution
I'd never want to ignore anybody...hope I'll never have to, that there'll
always be other, better solutions... |

Right now I think we've had an exciting time with lots of
revelations , some maybe true, some won't stand reliability
over the course of time, and lots of surprises as well...
...but most importantly we've been all together in the cavern,
discussing, pondering, speculating, sharing news, thoughts,
excitement and fun...I thank you all for letting me be a part of it
Right now I believe interesting and great times are ahead of us all...
May the ending never truly be written |

Right now... I'm a day late and a Dollar short. Literally.
I'm a day late at wishing Marten a Happy Birthday.
and I was short a dollar at the tollboot and had to pay the toll with my credit card.
Happy Belated Birthday, my Brother! _________________ KI 182798
