I think that's Cannon Beach in Oregon if I'm not mistaken! I've heard from GD that it was one of the inspirations for Noloben. _________________

Cannon Beach is very pretty, yup.
If you visit, eat there. Don't try to eat in Tillamook. All they have is the cheese factory - everything else about the town is meh and there are no notable restaurants. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I've only eaten at the Tillamook cheese factory when I was in Tillamook. OMG, Tillamook cheese is the BEST EVER. I grew up on it. I couldn't eat anyone else's cheddar cheese after theirs. Needless to say, I've been to the factory twice!
I did visit this little petting zoo with a farmer's grocery shop attached to it (where local farmers would bring their produce). I remember trying this herbed bleu cheese olive oil that was used for dipping stuff into. It was TO DIE FOR. I think I bought a few bottles there.
Oh yeah, and I ate at some really fancy restaurant off of Cannon Beach. I think it was a seafood restaurant and was really good.
Right now I'm motivated to get some data analysis done for school and I don't have all of the data to do it. It's a rare occasion that I'm so motivated, so right now I'm annoyed about the lack of data. /doh _________________

see, told ya she was hawtness...
That first pic is indeed Cannon Beach, with Haystack Rock in the background. Recognizeable to all Goonies worldwide.
mmm... Tillamook colby jack... second favorite cheese EVER. It may be more expensive, but definetly worth it! I'm glad I'm not the only one who only buys that stuff! _________________

Goonies 'R' Good Enough!
Story time: I visited Astoria, OR back in September 2006, and the tram tour guide pointed at a house up on the hillside and mentioned how it was used for the movie "Kindergarden Cop." He went on to explain that Arnold Schwarzenegger had pretended to be a police officer in that movie, and he wrapped that topic by saying, "And now he is pretending to be governor of the state of California."

My Oregon coast stomping grounds were further south. Mo's Clam Chowder, taffy from Aunt Betty's in Depot Bay, and crabbing off of Siletz inlet.
Ok, now I'm homesick. _________________

Okay, even though I'm waaayy older than most of you, I still know how to have fun / geek it up. This is me on vacation. Before you ask, I do not play the accordion, but I persuaded the real accordion player to let me pose with the thing. Does it detract too much from the magic if I tell you he also had to help me put it on?
