I saw this same full page ad in PC Gamer magazine (which is one page out three for GameTap in both magazine and comic book). _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Interestingly enough, there are no GameTap/Uru ads in the January edition of PC Gamer. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

I stopped buying PC Gamer after reading its review of Uru. While some of the points it raised were valid problems, they seemed to pick the person in the office who hated the Myst Franchise THE MOST to review it. Seriously the guy had the biggest chip on his shoulder, probably since he never got into any of the places of protection years ago and was left wandering around Myst Island.
Also Uru Live was sidelined to a tiny bubble which said, and I'm paraphrasing here:
"Ubisoft want us to mention that there is an online extension to Uru: ABM which gives you new content and story updates but why anyone would want to prolong the experience is beyond me! lolz!!!!!!!!111oneone2phi"

That's just sick!
They even can't give a proper review anyway, because Live hasn't even started yet... they're just reviewing ABM it seems...
We should send them a link to TGT's documentaries! Maybe that'll clear up their mind... |

I believe Dan is talking about the review PC Gamer gave Uru about 3 years ago _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Ah, okay...
I have a Dutch magazine edition of a few years ago, wich has a really good review fortunately, even with a interview with Rand!
Unfortunately... I didn't know anything about Myst/Uru at that time... so I didn't value the interview much.... now I do.
I can still remember the last lines of that interview...
Rand said something about Live, that it was very cool or something and the article closed with something like: "Normally we would call that a sales pitch, but seeing the twinkling in Rand's eyes, we know it's true.". |

Do you mean the UK edition?
That's odd. I have the US PCGamer and I remember Chuck Osborn giving a really good review. I believe he's a fan of the franchise -- he also reviewed Myst 4 (and 5?). |

Yeah the UK Edition. I could probably dig it out, that was about the time I moved to "the big city" so chances are its still in the cabinet next my bed back at my folks. However I think posting it would just serve to make everyone feel mad and aggrivated. I know it did me when I read it. |
