That's a great description, Marten! Sounds good.

It is the black hole of the GT contingency, of course. Like a big spiral, everyone is bound to get caught here. _________________

A couple of minor notes on the history. The DRF was established by Elias Zandi, not John Loftin. There is no mention of anyone else's involvement in its founding, at least not in Dr. Watson's account. And the DRF and the DRC are separate entities. The DRF is a non-profit organization, which is important for tax reasons. It was founded prior to Elias Zandi's death; Dr. Watson was chair of the DRF at the time of E. Zandi's death. Dr. Watson founded the DRC after E. Zandi's death, and used DRF money to fund the DRC. The blatant mismanagement of the DRF's funds by Dr. Watson, which some have speculated lead to his disappearance, is a topic well worth investigating, but not in this story. |

Good points. I'll do some additional editing and see if I can sidestep getting mired too far into the details.
Edit How's the latest version? The text in question now reads:
Quote: | Twenty years ago, a man by the name of John Loftin discovered the cavern. In the following months and years, he returned with friends, one of whom established the D'ni Restoration Foundation (which in turn birthed the D'ni Restoration Council, or DRC). |

This sounds like a wonderful project. I look forward to seeing how it turns out. Marten, you do such great work -- I'd love to help on this one. I can also do some recording, if needed, or help with filming, or whatever. _________________ What a wonderful thing it is to spend time with people who aren't obligated to be there, either. |

Thank you ghaelen, but I am but one participant in this project. This is a team effort, and I know we will all do swimmingly! _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Double post!
I have posted a very rough draft of the script for Episode Zero here.

I think it needs help - someone else should recommend shots to use against the voiceover. My brain's shot for the week. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I'll read it today at work, Marten. I've already committed quite a few images to film and will continue the process until we have a first draft to review. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Sounds like a plan. If you've already been capturing images, then it sounds like you have a good idea of what scenes you want to appear in conjunction with the script. My suggestions were thrown together hastily, so I'm eager to see what you come up with. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like I was singling you out, Marten, or leave anyone out. (although I did that....) The whole project sounds great, and I've talked a little to Professor Askew, too, via pm. Sorry, my ideas got ahead of my fingers this time. _________________ What a wonderful thing it is to spend time with people who aren't obligated to be there, either. |

I think Cuzin is right...
Gehn's is the best candidate for being an authentic D'ni pen and inkwell. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.
