I don't much care for it either. I was offered a cilantro salad once that was pretty much just cilantro and shaved carrots with this vinegar dressing. I couldn't turn it down out of politeness, and it was.... brrrrr... _________________ ~Moiety Jean

I can stand a tiny bit of cilantro.... but erg! I can't imagine a whole salad of it.
It's a strange thing. It tastes slightly soapy to me, and I swear it makes hot food taste hotter, even though the plant does not by itself taste hot. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

We accidentally made lasagna with cilantro one time - the recipe called for fresh parsley, and my friend couldn't tell the difference at the store. It was the best lasagna I ever had... _________________

cilantro does taste soapy to lots of people... I know I've seen the reason why, but I can't remember it off the tip on my head. I don't mind it in small doses. _________________

I'll bet they ate a lot of cilantro.
Does anyone here like a cilantro salad?
