I still can't use the Xpack, (so seeing all these spoilers being posted is really annoying me).

I've tried clean installs, with/without v1.2 patch, using a copy of Uru from the days of Live... nothing works.

It's possible, though an annoying thing to cope with, that my copy of To D'ni is corrupted somehow. Though I've tried another copy too, but that didn't work either.

Any ideas? I'm getting desperate here.

Well, the 'is it plugged in?' questions first...

Is the computer up to snuff?

Do you have the latest drivers?

Did you hack anything? (if you backed it up first, Did you back it up properly?)

After those are out of the way...

Is your copy of Uru Prime corrupt? If you have filesharing, you might want to see if you can download another copy of Uru Prime, and then use your old CD key, just to check.

I had no problems starting to play X1, but got to 4th marker 2. mission, crashed and lost my avatar. So Istarted again and was told that I had wrong version of direct x. I defrag'ed computer and was able to start all over.
It seems that files got lost with crashes.

Tehl,

I understand you are frustrated, but all you keep saying is that your expansion pack still isn't working, and you haven't told us exactly which of our suggestions you have tried - your list of things tried is very vague. You say you've tried a "clean install", BUT...

Did you try the -complete- deletion of your Uru directory as I suggested, removing the SAV and other directories that are usually left behind by a normal uninstall of Uru?

If yes, and you are still experiencing problems, then you should contact Ubisoft support at this point.

I moved my old sav file (from live) to my document folder and didn't have any trouble.

My computer is the same as it was during Live. It was up to snuff then.

Do you have the latest drivers?
Completely up to date.

Did you hack anything? (if you backed it up first, Did you back it up properly?)
That data was kept isolated.

Is your copy of Uru Prime corrupt?
Tried everything I can think of, including a clean install (no previous data).

If you have filesharing, you might want to see if you can download another copy of Uru Prime, and then use your old CD key, just to check.
The CD key was only a unique identifier for Live.

Uru Prime (no updates) - Build Error message
Uru Prime (with v1.2 patch) - Build Error message

Uru Prime (v1.2 patch, To D'ni) - Build Error message
Uru Prime with Live data - Build Error message
Uru Prime with Live data (To D'ni) - Build Error message
(Note: v1.2 patch won't install with Live data version)
