Great News! They've announced a release date for the expansion pack!

http://mystworlds.ubi.com/US

Only 2 - 3 weeks to go. Yay! The countdown begins.

Oh no! It's going to take me a week or so to get through it, and I need to study!

I've already replayed the game. Now I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for X1.

Well. looks like I won't have to dig through my hard drive and piece the environment together after all.

Next up, the KI. (Uru live without the fee). I hope.

Yep I'm all set up and ready to go for when the expansion pack comes out Smile Even the basket thing in Eder Gira was a doddle this time around, although still doing that jump in Gahreesen makes my hands sweat.

Is it really necessary to uninstall, reinstall, and then play the game a second time?

Won't your avatar lose its ability to sit on the benches in Eder Kemo?

What if I want to start where I left off in Prologue, with all of the CGZM missions completed?

Mystlander, I'm no techie but here are some of my thoughts:

I'm pretty sure any Live progress you made can't be used regardless of whether you re-install or not. I could be wrong.

The most important issue I read about is that any bugs you inherited from playing Live could cross over to Prime...like the door bug in the Hood.

Also, presumably all the clothes that were scattered around will be replaced so we can get all that stuff back. Don't know what it would mean if you still had it all (if you could keep it).

They may be tweaking the Great Zero Marker hunt.

Anyway, I have no idea what I'm talking about. LOL. I just figure a clean install would work best. I understand it's been recommended by Cyan.

Now, let's hear from some of the experts....

On a clean install, you will lose the ability to sit on the benches. However, I saved my Uru before the last Live session, so I will play with putting the files back and see how it goes.

(BTW, the files I saved give me Nexus books in my Ages.)

I did a clean install too, Professor Askew. I replayed Prime, which I enjoyed after a week of no Uru Crying or Very sad and now I'm all ready to go, whenever I can get x1.

By reinstalling, I also had no trouble with the Teledahn solar machine, either. That 'out of sync' bug that crept into Live at the end was a horrible pain! I'm not sorry to kiss that goodbye!

I did a clean install already. For the sake of it, I tried to reintegrate the Live files with some strange results. Here are the most notable ones:

    • I've gotten a version of the Nexus I've never seen before.

    • I've done the balcony jump, and found my eggroom locked.

    • Oh, and I can see all the GZMs in my neighborhood.

I'm not good enough with computers to know which files save what items or whatnot. I've completely reinstalled the game and replayed it. I'll just take what the X-packs give me without tweaking anything myself. I wish I could do all the fancy stuff, but no. Oh well.

Same here Kehrin, my Teledahn now works as does my Kadish Tolesa, when I linked through one, half the puzzles had reset themselves, while the other half remained solved. Now I can happily wonder through with out coming to some invisible wall that stops me from going any further Smile

My thoughts are that everything we got online with regards to clothing we will see in the first expansion pack, with the necessary tweaks made to the Great Zero. So I think we will get all the online content we saw plus the extra stuff we didn't see, the extra 4 ages, the 36 journals, the extra items of clothing etc, 10 puzzles, 2 of them being the Great Zero markers, I'm intrigued to see what the other 8 are. I wonder if we will get inside the Guild Hall Smile
