Where Cyan got its information is a... sketchy area. I strongly suggest we not look in that direction for evidence. It's likely to mislead us. For all we know, someone from Cyan may have experienced those events first-hand. I'm not saying, I'm just saying. 
Of course Guild Master Kadish did not contact Cyan. We would have known about that for sure, if it had happened. Truth be told, I'm not sure what Kadish could DO exactly, other than be D'ni. It may very well be someone else. But FWIW, the big unknowns we have so far all seem to orbit around Kadish.

I'm changing my vote to "The Great King", Ahlsendar...
Although Tricia Issacson may have been a fraud, she did her research. She apparently looked into transcripts that I only began to scrutinize this evening.
On the day Phil was kidnapped by the DRC, he was initially exploring the Tomb of the Great King. And while there, he said prophetically: "He will return."

Errr... is that why everyone's saying Ahlsendar is coming back? Hmmm.
I only say this to open up some other possibilities and not as a criticism of that theory. Phil didn't say Ahlsendar. What he said was

Not only that...what was he doing up there in the first place? Was he tasked by Yeesha to rendezvous with Ahlsendar? Was it Ahlsendar himself that freed Phil from the collapse rather than the Bahro? Phil sounded quite sure of himself the other day when he said "He is coming". Have they been in constant communication for the past three years? Questions, questions.
