I didn't know UO was in the business of taking sides... 
Anyways, people there were rude to him, so he moved on to the Watcher's Pub. I managed to catch him just before he took off. He was heading off for Noloben immediately afterwards, but I managed to chat briefly with him in his Relto before he left.
He really needs to do this. He's taken it on as a personal mission, and will do whatever it takes to sort this Bahro thing out. Doug knows the ramifications of the situation far better than any of us, and he's scared. But also driven. He's walking into this expecting to enter a warzone. Contrary to popular belief, I don't think he's going to jeopardize us all by killing a bahro, except as a self-defensive last resort. |
I agree with the theme of the matter. Whether or not Sharper suceeds, I don't think it will have too much of a huge impact. We need answers. I don't remember seeing anybody raising their hands to go to Noloben. Besides, let the DRC do what they think is right.
And another thing, we're close to a state of war, like it or not. We need as much intelligence as we can get.

Shorah,
Tried bitting my tongue on this one because I do not personally know Sharper.
While I hope he enjoys a safe passage and return, with knowledge to share. I cannot help but fear that anyone who takes on a mission such as this with the appearance of a Narcissistic mind set bent on revenge (many others did offer to assist according the the chat log) can do little to help the Great Tree's cause.
I feel one has much to learn from history, not all of it needs to be repeated.

I don't suppose anyone else has heard anything about or from Sharper yet?
I suppose as long as we don't start hearing stories about him from Echo McKenzie, that's a good sign.
