Man...I've got a lot of reading ahead of me.

I put a hold on The Book of Atrus, The Book of Ti'ana, and The Book of D'ni with the library and all three of them came in at the same time! Not to mention a couple of non-fiction tomes by Richard Dawkins.

I'm not a big reader either...too much knowledge...head...going to...explode! Shocked

Have you read the Myst books before, tetters? If not, enjoy! They're a fun read. They really, really change your perspective on the Cavern. They did for me at any rate. Especially Ti'ana. Man, when I finished reading that I really had D'ni in my head. And then, when I stepped into Ae'gura for the first time...wow! It was like going home.

Some people read them in order of publication. I read them in sequential order. Up to you.

Good luck. I generally like the Myst books - I think you will too. Smile

The books aren't great literature, but are workmanlike. I bought a copy of "The Myst Reader," which is the omnibus edition paperback. They're a good presentation of D'ni history, and origins of some of the attitudes.

Well I finished the book of Atrus in less then three days...started reading the book of Ti'ana. Probably won't take me long either. These books are pretty light reading for me. LOL.

The only thing that reeeeally annoyed me was the gaps in-between Atrus' age. I had difficulty keeping track of how old he was a various time in the book. I'm guessing by the time the book was done he was around 20.

I would eventually like to buy and read the Myst Reader myself. It sounds really good.

Oh man I need to pay off my library fines. I've been trying to score a copy of the BoT for a long time. I have both the other books but we never got BoT for whatever reason.

I think Cyan might still have some hardcovers you can buy, if you can't find them anywhere else.. Smile (Not that it wouldn't be coolest to get them directly from Cyan.. then you could even ask for a signature!)

At amazon.com there are hardcovers, too, used and new and of course
the paperback versions Razz

...but if you could manage to get a unique one from Cyan and above all
with an autograph, a personal signature... wow, that would be great... Very Happy
