I was discussing the new time-keeping information with Cycriem just the other night... I found something just a little incongrous about it. Maybe those of us here who are D'Ni Histroians can help me out...

We all know that the D'Ni numbering system is a base 25 system... or on some level, an extension of a base-5 system. For the most part, every unit of time is divided by 5 or 25 into a smaller unit. All except for one of them.

Why would the D'Ni divide anything in 29 equal parts?

I just don't get that.

Anyone shed some light on this?

Because the time is based upon the cycle of the Lake, a 30 hour cycle.

The sheet actually has some inconsistencies if I heard correctly.

The sheet should match the information at http://www.riven.com/dni_time.html#time

No, there is one addition. I don't know the name, but the surface equivalent is 1 hour and 13 minutes. That's the unit the clock is showing. I can't find that unit on the riven/drc website.
