Yeah, sorry Marten, you've described everything in great detail above... Very Happy

Something else, that I've recognized just now:

Episode 6 Test 3. Sound is not yet adjusted. There are still a few blanks, transitions and text fades are missing, and lighting in the second part is inconsistent. There's also one small part I need to refilm, and there's an explanation of why (and you'll see the continuity error between that clip and later views of the same spot).

http://marten.treeweasel.com/Uru/Ep6Test3.mov

This clip repreents about the halfway mark in asssembling the episode.

Oh, big important goof that I need to fix: I have to refilm everything with Douglas! He's supposed to have a Yeesha shirt. But that shouldn't take long to fix.

Compositing on Episode 6 is almost done. There are a few missing parts for LaReh which I'll add later (I need to film those parts with him).

Once LaReh's parts are added, the following will happen:

* First, I'll finish the credits and correct errors that change the timing of the film.
* Second, I'll send the English language titles and the translation scripts to Eleri for adding the translations.
* Third, I'll finish color correction/brightness adjustments, and quiet down the audio a little.
* Fourth, while Eleri continues to work on the translations, I'll export the English copy of the video in advance, but I won't post it until I have the other videos ready.
* Fifth and finally, I'll begin assembling Episode 7. It should be easier to put together than Episode 6, and shorter, too.

Oh yeah... the test link. This only covers the second scene (it recovers part of the previous test video, fixing errors).

PS: There are some errors in this copy. If anyone would care to make a list of problems, it could help me ensure I don't miss fixing any.

Problems you should not mention: Brightness, Lack of color, missing text fades - all of these issues will be corrected

Problems you should mention:
* Jerky video (Example: 8:02, Pa'lua pauses and resumes moving)
* Titles that aren't on screen long enough (Extreme Example: 12:32, cuts short far too soon)
* Missing fades between transitions - there are a few of these

Very good! Smile

Now I'm wondering how you made Laxman do /cower! Razz Did you use a look-alike or was the real Laxman willing to pose?

I think you can better cut LaReh's "Will there be any timetable on the GZ team?". It doesn't add anything to the conversation and it will save you some filming time.

Watched this great video twice: Very Happy

Once for fades between transitions and reading aloud all
parts of the text, that worked well, except the words of
Laxman, you've already mentioned (I could read only two lines)
and a second time for jerky video parts (and fades)

Missing fades:

- 09:47/48 Thanakar
- 11:39/40 people to Laxman
- 11:45/46 Laxman to people
- 12:28/29 Brian to Laxman

Jerkey video:

- 01:41/42 Tweek
- 03:56 Tweek
- 04:04/05 Dan'ni
- 06:44/45 Tweek
- 09:27 Dan'ni (not sure)
- 12:56/57 Thanakar (very short)
- 14:51/53 Deg
- 15:05/06 Quintin
- 16:12/13 Solaris
- 17:48 Dan'ni
didn't mention, what you did already 08:02 Pa'lua

I could do that. Do any other translators have an opinion?

Jana: Thank you! That should make my job a little easier.

LaReh's question doesn't add anything to the conversation,
but it's needed as a transition from one topic, taking the journey,
to the next, back to the GZ topic... and joining both statements
of Laxman would be a bit strange and too much... Very Happy

I agree with Janaba on this point, that sentence is needed to shift from the Journey topic to the GZ Smile

It seems I'm in the minority. Razz

I looked for a chat log with timestamps, but couldn't find one unfortunately. It often happens that two statements are said in the Cavern at the same time. That happens a lot during DRC visits, so I'm wondering if Laxman even heard LaReh talking about the timetable when he was typing his answer. It's only speculation of course, but I think it also happened with LaReh's question. Laxman's "Well, I'll see what I can do in regard to opening up this project" isn't an answer to LaReh's question, so either Laxman was ignoring her or they typed their question at almost the same time.

So, I don't think LaReh made the shift to the Great Zero. Laxman was just rounding up his visit and ends with a conclusion based on the whole conversation.

By the way, I really like it the way avatars look. The eye movement is really realistic and it mostly seems like it actually fits the question and it never seems to look the same. Christoph05's eye movement at 16:52 matches his statement really well... Like the avatar is really acting, while we know all avatars have the same eye movement...
But hey, perhaps this is just me. Razz
