Things have gotten really depressing down in the Cavern, exacerbated by issues for me on the Surface. I just can't deal with being down there anymore. Even the Great Zero being turned on isn't perking me up.

So I'm taking a break. I'm not going forever, but I'm not going to get involved in D'ni for a while. If things take a turn for the better, or after I've had some time to cool down, whatever comes first, I'll come back.

I'll visit the Great Tree forums every now and then but I'm going to try to stay away from D'ni-related things as much as possible. So many negative vibes. Jeez.

Good luck guys.

We'll miss you, Cyc, but I totally understand. I've been kinda doing the same... but less just leaving and more pacing myself. I think it's all about pacing yourself. I'm not around as often as I have been last summer because of a combination of extra stress on the surface and not a lot going on in the cavern. I'm trying to stay in touch, though, and poke in every once in a while to check on things. And I have a gut feeling things will pick up in the near future for the GT, too, and I'm not just saying that to be optimistic. I'm still hopeful Cyan will get their stuff together within the next month... *crosses fingers*

Stop by and say hi sometimes so we know you're still alive, okay? Smile

Understood, man. Take all the time you need. The surface is a wonderful place to be. Smile

Already.. I am missing you.

But I hear ya. No game is worth the stress and heartache it has apparently been causing some folks. As great a game that this might be... it's just a game.

Take a break, breathe deep, and stay in touch.

We'll miss ya Cyc, yer one of the few stable things around here! Take it easy, and hopefully we'll see you again soon.

I can fully understand what yer feeling, cuz to be honest, I've been considering something of the sort myself. I just can't believe how negative things have gone lately. Blows my mind. But I think, like Saxy, the key for me is going to be pacing. As much as it would be fun to be involved in everything, I've got enough frustrations in my life without a [OOC]computer game[/OOC] adding to it. But little bits when I can, and trying to stay active on the forums here, should hopefully make it the enjoyable good time that it should be!

Oh, and staying away from the DRC site will really help too... Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I think that's why I don't feel so distraught about all the negativity... I try to stay away from it. Smile I only look at the DRC site once every two weeks for highlights. *lol*

Thanks guys. I've reread all your comments like six times and they make me feel a lot better. Smile I'll be back in the swing of things soon. I might show up briefly tomorrow if we get a new Age... we'll see where things go I guess!

And dang, aren't you right about DRCsite, Rils. I don't think I'll be touching that cesspool for at least a month!

Another bright spot: Uru for Macintosh is now officially announced, using the Cider conversion.

This is kinda odd to me. From a different perspective where I spend more time In Cavern then in the forums. I don't see the negativity. But when I glance at drcsite 'Share your Journey' I see it. So I just don't bother with that forum. I browse for key information there but most of it is garbage to me. If I start reading a thread and it goes negative, I close it and look for something else. I don't have time to read other negativity, I have enough of my own toward surface related things and I don't need it when it comes to the cavern.

Cycreim, I hope the break does you well but I think you should also take a look at were the negativity is coming from specifically and avoid that. We'll miss you while you are away.

May the ending never be written.

Cyc man take all the time you need. We'll be here when you get back, but do come back, we're rather fond of ya.

I know what you mean though, a lot of negativity from the liason issue and especially from DRCsite. Thing is this is the only forum I pay serious attention too and when I wander elsewhere I always have my "its only a game" mantra hat on.

I spend more time in the cavern than on the forums anyway so its all good.

I would also like to say a quick thankyou, to y'all this is one of the few places in the myst community where I really can just kick back... I'm gonna stop before I start suggesting a group hug Shocked
