So, everyone, everywhere was force-linked to their Reltos. The DRC is obviously surprised. Only things out there that can do things remotely like that (as far as we know) are the Bahro.

So, why? Why do the Bahro all of a sudden decide that everyone has to be out? Why not do it before? (I'm looking storyline here, not 'well it's time to shut down D'mala). Explorers have been running around the cavern for years, and the DRC has been active for several months now.

My thought? Maybe because this was the first moment they were free to do so. What if End of Ages has been happening concurrently with D'mala? And that the Bahro have just been freed by the Stranger and they decide it's time to clear out the cavern?

It doesn't match up with a few things, but I think it's a compelling thought...

The Bahro knew that something dangerous was happening... something that the Explorers had no forsight of.

Destruction is coming...

What if everyone was "rescued" by the Bahro?

Good theories, both. And I have always felt that Myst V ran concurrently with UU. Makes perfect sense. It's obvious the Bahro want us out of the Cavern. Now we want to find out why.

If Blade's theory is correct, then it could tie to other, prior theories that Dr. Watson is the Stranger in Myst V.

I always did like those theories but have we received any word on which ending of Myst V is the one that occured?
