I don't think The Great Tree Explorer's Club will launch until the Cavern is officially re-opened but I want to get the ball rolling because I've been led to believe that the DRC are going to unofficially start letting people in as early as December 20. I know I'm packing more gear up right now. I also left a good portion of my stuff on Relto.

But, I think it's time to collect some names and availability so we can start to form the groups. Please add your name to this list with your OPTIMUM availablity so I can start forming like-minded people into groups.

For example:

Professor Askew

Week nights 7:00 PM and on, Weekends (Probably one day a weekend).

I voted for exploring slowly.

Obviously I won't be exploring each and everyone of these available slots but now I have more to compare with other Explorers. So, if you're interested in exploring more slowly and in groups, add your info here. I'll PM the folks who responded to the other thread if we don't hear from them in a few days.

Time is short, people! Let the exploring begin!

I vote for slowly, too.

I'm on Central Time, US, and right now my schedule is very flexible. In Mid-January that will change.

My biggest obstacle is that I won't have more than two days/two-three hours per day to devote to exploring, so I might fall behind even the slow group, lol.

I'm in... and I'm all for taking my time.

Stop and smell the other-worldly roses, at it were.

It's tough to pin my availability down to a schedule... especially around the Holidays, or Holi-daze, as I like to call them. But weeknight evenings are fairly static right now. Weekends are tough too, maybe some evening, maybe during the day...

I'm sitting on the US East Coast... GMT-5, I think, is how it's often said.

I look forward to Group Exploration.

I voted for Slow as well. I am available during the week after 7pm PST ( GMT-8 ) and anytime on the weekends. So I'm pretty much in the with the good Prof.

I too have voted for slow. I want to really experience and savour each new age.

I'm on good old GMT. Being on a student schedule means I'm fairly flexible but my optimum time would probably be at the weekends since that means I wouldn't have to stay up too late and I guess the occasinal late night during the week would be fine for me too.

It looks like two people voted but didn't respond to the poast. If you responded to this poll and would like to join up with the GTEC, please make sure you let us know your availability so we can get you into a group.

I've voted for leisurely. Discussing every glyph and journal to death is not my style (I never did read all of the journals in the Hall of Kings). But I don't want to go too fast, either.

I'm a leisurely explorer. I like to look at things, think about how they work. At least, until I get a strong hint of something magical about to happen, in which case I can move right along.

As for availability... pretty much weekends only. I'll play after work (1700 Pacific US) if there's something particularly wonderful going on, but then I won't get any sleep. So, that becomes self-limiting. Smile

I went with Leisurely. I like to take my time, enjoy the scenery, but I don't have to get every minute detail on the first pass. There will be plenty of time for in-depth analysis as time goes on... Wink

Oh, I did. Smile But I could also do leisurely. I guess it depends on who I end up exploring with.

I'm somewhere between leisurely and slow. I like to take my time, but sometimes it's good to move along so you can see a bit more.

I'm usually free from 6-9pm on weekdays, central time, and free most of the day on Saturday.

As for pace, I chose steady pace, because while I don't want to rush things, some of my previous group experiences is that everyone just stays in the same area speculating and pontificating forever and I feel as if I have to remind people that we should see more of the Age.

My method of study is that I like to go through the Age, writing down brief observations, then coming back and discussing things in forums where I can better collect my thoughts and have reference material from DPWR and the like.
