Everyone loves a good scare now and then. Who has a scary story? I can see us all sharing some in Gira soon, but until then let's make a creepy little thread.

A friend recently sent me a link to a very scary flash game, The House.

Enter if you dare.

Props to whoever can get to the corridor...

I got to the corridor in about ten minutes. Didn't really grab me.

Heh although it is just a case of randomly clicking the two clickables in each room till you move on to the next one, playing it late at night with only dimmed lights on and while wearing headphones it creeped me out and made me jump a fair bit. Not that I'm gonna loose any sleep over it.

Hope you didn't loose your sleep over nightmares, Dan Wink

The scenery is really very spooky, so, well done...

I'm surprised Annacat hasn't posted in this thread yet. Of course, if she did, the stories she'd tell us would give us all nightmares for a month (not forgetting the price of washing sheets every night). Razz

*tries to think of something scary enough to warrant posting in this thread*

I guess I could tell of the ghost that lives in the Zoology building at the University of Manitoba. However, that's really about all I know of the whole thing. No one knows who it is, but late at night, people can hear him walking down the halls. Come to think of it, there are many ghosts at the UofM. The most famous is probably the ghost of Tache Hall (one of the oldest residences). Apparently a young man hung himself from the rafters in the main hall on the top floor. There have been sightings of him at parties and by curious students seeking a private moment therein. Thus far, his presence has been benign.

I suppose the real scary stuff lies in the tales of the still living! Like the time a creep-o was going around setting fire to the basements of various buildings, or the bomb threats at the Animal Science building, or the guy who stalked girls standing alone in bus shelters...

*whistles and waits for more stories*

D:

*checks her underwear*

That one scared me way more than I had expected it to (based on what I read from everyone else here). I closed the window quickly after the head animation and didn't even get past the first room. *looks over her shoulders*

Edit: I've tried three times today to play this game and finish it and I can't bring myself to click past the volleyball. What's wrong with me?! *lol*

I think I'll give this one a "pass." ::wanders off, content not to put anything in her head that she can't get out later::

Oh, I enjoyed "Dark Fall" on GameTap. It's surprisingly creepy, and Myst-like. Exploration and puzzle-solving. With ghosts. Check it out.
