Monorail cat, go!

In keeping with the theme...

_MONORAIL!_

Is there some level of irony here that the thread has been 'derailed' by a Monorail?

I want to make a Seattle Monorail Cat ytmnd where the cat grinds slowly to a halt, and it plays the doot doot doot waiting music from the Jobby commercial, and after 30 minutes another monorail cat pulls up beside it and connects a little ramp to offload the passengers and slowly moves off.

LMAO

I have the CD of the "doot doot doot" music if you want to use it, MJ. (FYI, it's called "Summer Samba" and it's remixed by Fatboy Slim.) Smile

And you should know how to construct this, considering you know all about the Seattle monorail fiasco first-hand! Laughing

OMG Saxy I actually know what that place is! It's Greenland Amusement Park, and it's on my list of places to visit when I go to Japan one day.

I've been trying to figure out which amusement park it is (was)! That's AWESOME. Where in Japan is it located?

Reminds me of Spirited Away. Near the beginning, the father believes that he has stumbled upon an abandoned amusment park just like this one. He talks about how many amusement parks were built during an economic boom, then many of them closed and were left to the wilderness.

Funny you should mention that. I just read the same exact thing regarding Japanese amusement parks when doing some research on this particular one.

There's some really interesting abandoned places in Japan. Unlike here in North America where we would rather bulldoze something than leave it to the elements, the Japanese seem perfectly happy to leave things alone.

If you like Greenland Amusement Park, check out Gulliver's Kingdom (obligatory strong lanugage warning) near Mount Fuji. There's also a good part in there about Kawaguchi, the "sea of trees". It's probably one of the creepiest forests in the world.

Right now and again and again I wonder how you always find
so many freaky, funky and beautiful things on the internet...

But however I like the Myst YTMND, the "Spirited Away" Film
(so lovely) and the Gulliver's Kingdom Park & Sea of Trees

In the spirit of the SNL Bill Brasky sketches, what follows are true statements about Douglas Sharper.

Douglas Sharper's reflection can bench press 250 lbs.

Douglas Sharper fact #2

Douglas Sharper can beat Halo in five minutes. With his eyes closed. On "legendary" difficulty.

Douglas Sharper's pant legs can house a homeless family of 6.
