You need to keep all the outtakes and put them together as a montage at the end of the series.

LOL That was very amusing. The Rubberband Man song comes to mind.

Ashtar, could you change me back to female avatar Saxy? I'm stuck as Kodama on the GT Shard now. *lol*

Well, that was a lot of work, and I'm sorry to announce that we have to do it over again if we want this to follow the script (which draws heavily from MrM3FaN's recollection of how it actually happened).

Everything looked great when I was paying attention to the screen and I thought we had two great takes... but there is one point where I couldn't watch what others were doing because I had to control Laxman at that point. That was when I asked everyone to run off from the meeting point.

In both takes Engberg runs off in the wrong direction and does not follow everyone else. Per the script, everyone leaving needs to run towards the Palace area.

Quote:
All members except for Dr. Watson head to the Palace stairs and jump the barrier.

The jumping the barrier part doesn't matter because that's distant in the camera view and isn't something I intend to focus on (that's why I didn't ask to have the barriers set up there). But I do want to see all DRC members run off together rather than scattering to the four winds. Looking back I see that I didn't communicate which direction people needed to go, and I think Ashtar hadn't read the script, so he didn't know.

I also suggest that we keep other people out during filming if we can; additional people in the cavern other than the filmed actors causes lag and makes filming more difficult when they get into the camera view.

I'm sorry. I should have reviewed the one part of the footage I didn't see in action before I declared the filming to be done.

Bummer. Sad Guess we just chalk it up to learning, then.

Nevermind about changing my avatar, Ash. Might as well keep it Kodama (unless someone else prefers to do the acting).

How does next Sunday sound for folks to redo this scene?
Maybe we won't have as much trouble with the technicalities...

I want to stress that everyone did a great job and was very patient, I just messed up by not making one instruction clear, and that is my responsibility.

(This is an outtake from Sunday's filming)

She said I am the one... Who will dance. On the floor. In the round.

If it's at the same time next Sunday I won't be able to make it. I can probably do something in the morning (Pacific time, of course), though.

Next Sunday I can be there! Just don't ask me to be Kodama. Very Happy

I really don't know what was wrong, guys. Sorry about the bouncy moves.

I feel kinda responsible too, because I noticed that Engberg was going a different direction and I didn't say anything, assuming that it didn't matter if most of us were headed toward the palace.

Well, I wouldn't mind to do it again, since I had a lot of fun. Should be easier for me this time since my avatar is already set up.

I gotta add that it was a lot of fun playing the DRC peeps. I liked the fan fiction Jean and I created with the characters. *lol*

Here's the results of today's work...

http://marten.treeweasel.com/UntilUru/ep2_test2.mov

As mentioned, I'd like to get Engberg running away along with the rest of the group, rather than forging his own way. That will require a reshoot, but we can do that next Sunday, same bat-time, same bat-channel.

Now I need to schedule some time with MrM3FaN and do some work on Ep 3 as well.
