Very good work! I made use of this script this very evening getting some shots in on the "Not The Great Tree" shard.

Thought: I'd like to restore plinthon's one line of dialogue, and mention the forming of Safety First 243 in the closing subtitles.

Opinions?

Thanks for the helpful info, John. This one was a doozy for me to figure out.

Marten, John took some great pictures of Phil and Sharper linking out at the nexus, if you didn't see them. These would be really helpful for framing the scene.

Hey MJ,

How the heck do you find these pictures? Do you have some master record or something of every photo over at UO?

Not at all. I found these two because I looked with curiosity at the rest of the thread John Lynch linked us to, and he had posted these pictures in that thread.

Often the threads which had chat logs had pictures as well. When someone posts a log which is in a thread I like to read further in the thread and see what picture links are still working. Most aren't, sadly.

Then also, there are (or were, haven't looked lately) galleries of some early Prologue days at UO's main site. That's where I found the pictures of Phil visiting the UO hood during the reappearance of the Yeesha page.

Episode 5 is now stickied.

TONIGHT:
I'm going to look over the script, make any adjustments necessary, and send to the translation team. I will post a list of names that should be contacted for this episode.

WEDNESDAY:
MYSTLANDER will be in charge of contacting people. I hope that this can be done promptly.

THURSDAY:
I will tighten up the schedule for filming.

SATURDAY and SUNDAY:
Filming days. At the moment I'm open all day both days, except from 5pm forward Saturday night which I am reserving for seeing a movie. Smile As mentioned above, on Thursday, I will define the window for filming.

I'm beginning to suspect that in the final scene in Episode 4, on December 4, Phil may have already had his Relto book. He might've picked it up on December 3, after being stymied by the Nexus-book-less neighborhood he visited on December 2.

I'm double-checking the script to Episode 5 now. The opening I originally wrote for it has to change as I now know that Phil didn't disappear off to never-never land, but instead continued to visit neighborhoods. Here's what I've got at the moment - it could use some polish:

Quote:
FADE IN: Shot of Uru Obsession ‘hood from episode 4

SUPER: After revealing the mystery of the Islands Page before the skeptics in the Uru Obsession Neighborhood…

FADE TO: Slow zoom on Neighborhood Library

SUPER: …Phil Henderson encountered some explorers in a neighborhood with no Nexus book. To continue on his way, he linked to Tweek’s Relto.

FADE TO: Rainy Relto

SUPER: Reminded of the beauty of Yeesha’s gift, Phil soon sought his own Relto book. A few days later, he had one.

FADE TO: Slow zoom on Douglas Sharper’s office in Teledahn

SUPER: Phil was ready to help others take the Journey: In particular, Mr. Douglas Sharper, a man whose name would continue to pop up in conversation over that weekend.

FADE TO: Slow zoom in on Barriers in Ae’gura

SUPER: Amid debate over Sharper’s behavior, a growing divide would become apparent between explorers favoring freedom and those favoring safety.

Marten,

As soon as I received your PM, I was able to contact all of the original participants on your list. As responses trickle in, I will copy and paste them to PMs here at TGT Forum.

By the way, Episode 4 was the best one, yet... KUDOS to you for your uber directing and filming talents, Marten!

Based upon feedback from potential participants, preliminary filming for Safety First will run from 2PM to 4PM Cavern Time on Saturday, May 12, 2007.

For pacific coast, that is 1PM to 3 PM.
For eastern coast, that is 4PM to 6 PM.
For UTC/GMT, that is 20:00 to 22:00.

We will need extras. Smile

Public filming, Episode 5, Scenes 1 and 2 complete. Endless thanks to the people who participated... this project would not continue without the help of the many volunteers that give their time.

Scene 3 remains to be filmed, but that will occur after we get past the nagging rumors that a lot will happen "next week." After all, if the rumors are right, I don't want to miss the current action.

Script trimming and next filming session are now on the plate. I've started assembling the first part of Ep 5.

Will update here when I'm ready for the next step.

I'm about a quarter of the way done on Episode 5 in English. I expect to make better progress now that I think I've solved a computer problem that has plagued me for the past few months. The system would either lock up, or reboot then lock up... with very little predictability. I found some info suggesting that I turn off a specific BIOS feature ("Cool'n'Quiet") and afterwards, I put the system through a stress test, cool off, stress test, cool off, stress test, and cool off... and no more crashes.

I just hope it stays fixed!

I'm still working on shortening the script. Maybe a better way of phrasing that is: I shortened the first scene already, and I'm working on shortening the rest of the script as I assemble scene 2 and preview scene 3 prior to filming.

Which reminds me: I need to figure out exactly who our Translation team will be for this episode. I need to contact a new potential French translator, and co-ordinate between Tiella and Jana to see who would like to manage the German translation for this episode.

Tonight I hope to ask the Mystlander/Eleri team to contact people about filming this weekend.

And I just forgot something else I was going to add. Argh. Too much going on in my head...
