"Leather Goddesses of Phobos" was a text adventure like Zork made by the good people at Infocom. It was written by the same guy who did Infocom's "Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy", so it was in a word, wacky. |
Leather Goddesses of Phobos was a lot of fun! My favorite part, though, what the beginning. Your character was male or female based off of what bathroom you chose.

Ahh, Descent... Spent many happy hours in college playing that thing. usually me and my roommate would steal one of the projectors from a classroom, hook it up to our computers, and play it against the wall. Tell ya what, 8-foot-tall Descent is quite a ride...

But will they have Freespace 2? They could seriously use the System Shock series as well. |

They have a bunch of kids software - Jumpstart, Reader Rabbit... that's worth it right there for me.
And they have Space Quest. I loved Space Quest!
We'll be getting GameTap as soon as I get paid. |

I'm hoping they get more of the crazy old LucasArts games. They have already advertised Sam & Max, but what about the Day of the Tentacle series, or the Monkey Island games? You guys ever play those? That would just rawk. Both are great series, DotT2 is one of my favorite games ever...

They have The Incredible Machine! YES
I wish they had The Dig, though. And, for some odd reason, Carmageddon. _________________ KI: 34353 |

No LucasArts games on GameTap at all, to my knowledge. Lots of Vivendi-owned games though. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

DotT was awesome... I don't think I ever saw/palyed DotT2...
and WHAT? The Incredible Machine!?! I must have missed that. loved that game too. (Downloading it now...)
My favorite of ALL time had to be The Learning Company's Robot Oddysey (not on GameTap)
TOTALLY for geeks and nerds, but you were this little dude who had to wire up robots with digital logic circuits (AND, OR, XOR gate type stuff) to accomplish certain tasks. _________________ KI 182798

I may have become less of a science nerd since high school, but I still get those pangs of excitement whenever I think of digital logic circuits! _________________ KI: 34353 |

I think he got confused.
Day of the Tentacle is Maniac Mansion 2. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Marten, you are absolutely correct, my bad... Day of the Tentacle was indeed Maniac Mansion 2.

Ahh, but wasn't Sam & Max a LucasArts game? It has to have been, now that I think about it, they appear in easter eggs in all the Dark Forces games (among others), and I specifically remember them being in comic strips in the old LucasArts catalogues...
Unless it was bought by somebody else later maybe...
