I don't know if you guys ever check greydragon's blog, but he put up a new post the other day, check it out. Just something else to think about. I know we've been waiting for this for how long, and now that we finally have a chance to do something about tangibly showing our support, I feel like sucha wanker for not doing my part...
10 bucks a month? I'm willing to do it in December, how much is it reallygonna hurt to do it now? moving at end of month... losing job in september... only ten extra bucks to show my support for something I've loved for years... hmm.

I'm pledging to skip out on 3 fancy coffees (that's HARD in Seattle!) a month to make up for it. _________________ #Brian Fioca

DON'T JUDGE ME!! |
Havent seen it... but I don't know what it is either, |
"Leather Goddesses of Phobos" was a text adventure like Zork made by the good people at Infocom. It was written by the same guy who did Infocom's "Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy", so it was in a word, wacky.
It was an adventure in the style of a Flash Gordon episode. A young hunky guy and a buxom lass find themselves whisked away to the far off planet Phobos, and that they are all that stands between the Earth and total domination of said Earth by the feared Leather Goddesses.
It had 3 versions of text built into it, and you could switch around at any time... "Tame", "Normal", and "Lewd". Each version had reponses that were more risque that the previous version.
Clearly, the target demographic was teenaged boys... of which I was one, at the time.
I could go into much greater detail, but I fear doing so may send the moral thread of this forum spiraling into the gutter. But it was one heckuva game... _________________ KI 182798

Sweet... I guess I missed that one. I did enjoy the HHGTG game, though. _________________ #Brian Fioca

Well, after an initial poor start with the actual games on GameTap, things now appear to be working.
Seems after upgrading to my dual core CPU, I didn't upgrade the "Processor Driver" under Windows, and so every game I launched gave me a black screen.
Works now!
And I understand that the Descent series of games is coming to GameTap. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

....
Brian was telling me how awesome the gaming selection is on Game Tap the other day. This is kinda a big deal to me because old school gaming and me are tight; I'm very sentimental over many a NES and Genesis title.
I could take advantage of GameTap now but when school starts I'm afriad I'll have no time. I'll be stretching my time allowance just for Uru as it is.
I'll think a little more about signing up early... _________________

Well no matter what you pay, you'll be getting Uru anyway, so it's worth it to go with the +GameTap option, even if you don't play it, know what I mean? _________________ KI: 34353 |

Definitely. It's just a matter of if I want to sign up now or when UruLive comes out.... I really want to sign up now to show my support, but...
Gah, maybe I should just cut out a few unnecessary dinners out at restaurants every month and sign up. (Times aren't that hard for me right now, I'm just anticipating what it's going to be like once I go back to school.) _________________
