That's all there is? It was nice to have some more journals to read, but it didn't seem like that much more than what was in Prologue. Simply more marker hunts. Basically, the only storyline development was the fact that Sharper's still in the cavern and Dr. Watson has gone on the journey. Even though it was nice to get back in the cavern, X1 was too short. That's my opinion at least.

Well, X1 was never really designed to be a true expansion- it's just designed to give us entry to the cavern. They put it together in two months, remember; I say that it's great, considering. Oh, by the way, read Sharper's journal again carefully- Watson wasn't the only one that went on a Journey. There was other plot development as well- we know more about what happened to Phil, although not everything by a long shot, and we found out the "real" reason the restoration was cancelled.

Go back and read Sharper's Journal, again... more new entries!

I've read Sharper's journal with the new entries. The last entry said "goodbye." I guess this was to just get us back in the cavern. Still, the floor at the bottom of the shaft was pictured in early promo pics, so I was really disappointed when I couldn't get to it. Oh well. Did I read somewhere that X2 is supposed to come out in May?

I really didn't have any over expectations on what the first XP would be. CyanBill did post that it was mainly for those explorers who never had the experience of the prologue. And as Jon mentioned, Cyan did a darn good job of putting it out in just a couple of months. I'm happy that we are able to get back into D'ni, had a few new areas to explore, found some new clothes and Relto pages, etc. Sure it might be short for some of us, but I imagine those who never experienced Live are having a ball Smile

That is a very good point. Thanks for putting it into perspective for me. I guess we were all spoiled having been a part of Prologue.

It opens the door for a different story. It appears that Dr. Watson changed his mind, making DRC obsolete. No longer will he 'build skeletons from the bones found', but instead he is persuing revival of D'ni (the early ideas).

So nowall we need is a reincarnation of Live.

"suddenly, you realize you weren't the only holdout...."

That way, you could track Watson in more than just the journals as well.

Rand Miller: Bob, you're good at roleplay. how'd you like to do THIS? Smile

Hey. A guy can dream...
