I would LOVE to see a TGT Blog. IC only. And each of the members could occasionally post their IC thoughts and musings. GT members only but the public can comment.

And...if we end up unveiling any new story content, we could use the blog as one of our resources. Regardless, I'd like to see a TGT Blog in either case.

There is still the old front page if you click "great tree" under the links section. Me and Erik were chatting about it today. Maybe we could revamp that.

That could work. IC articles instead of a blog. Although people wouldn't be able to respond right then and there. It would have to cross over with the forum.

I'm not sure I see a difference between IC articles and a group blog... WordPress MU and Drupal both support multi-user blogs.

It doesn't matter to me which one we used as long as the public had the ability to respond.

I'm all for it. I don't have the time to do technical work on it, but I'd use it.

It's indeed very easy to set-up a multi-user Wordpress blog.

I like the idea of a shared blog, but now I'm also wondering what I should do with my own blog if this idea is realised. Would I post on both or just the TGT blog and stop my own? Confused (Just thinking out loud here)

I would use it. Unfortunatly I'm so technically inept I would probably break the internet if I tried to set it up...

Just had a random thought about its use which I will post elsewhere.

Well, I've looked into it in the past and I'm certainly willing and able to do so again for this purpose. I'll take it nice and slow and just do the homework first. Also, I still have to look at the GT web site front end again. Let's continue to look at all these percolating ideas before we commit to anything. I'll report back when I finish my homework. Wink

Hey, everyone. I saw this thread and thought it would be fun to show you guys a little mock up I did back in 2006 with this same idea in mind. I think I showed it to Brian and a few others, but it was just for fun in the event that things picked up when the cavern opened up again.

http://yatahaze.com/random/gt_site/

The goal was to have exclusive access for members to keep updates on the more, um... GT-centric "secret" happenings in the cavern. Beyond that there was the idea of creating blogs for each member which could be viewed (sort of like online journals). A bit of development would have been involved, but I thought it was a cool idea at the time.

Nowadays it seems a more public, simplified route would be more ideal for active members with our story now taking a back seat.

Perfect. And I love the sinister color scheme. Let's talk about this some more. I'm starting to percolate some thoughts.

Looks pretty cool. Though if you really want to do the 'inner circle' thing, I'd suggest support for both member only and public facing blogs and/or posts.

Thinking about this more, I'd really like to have this communal blog space. It'd be a good place for various projects of mine, including a blog from JD.
