As time lingers on most grab for something to hold on to, to keep the interest alive. For us it is another issue of the “Where R U Uru” newspaper. This month we have an interesting line up with “Uru in Education”, as much news as we could find and some artwork by Artoveli. Plus we have the result of the new GoMe PhotoQuest competition. So please sit back and enjoy.

"The Guild of Messengers Newspaper... ...For those who like their morning coffee in the cavern."

To download the full newspaper in PDF format please follow this link.

If you'd like to receive notice when the newspaper is available, drop a note to us at newspaper@guildofmessengers.com . Alternatively we have a new automated subscription service located on the Front page. This is where you will receive e-mail notification that the issue is ready for download from our Library.

Also for any late breaking community news please feel free to use the GoMe News RSS feed. Click on the big Submit News button which is also on the Front page. Help is provided with this new feature. - Both in Text and downloadable PDF tutorial.

Thanks, Szark! The newspaper does look less stuffed compared to the previous one. It's easier to read this time. I also like that the Myst alphabet has been spread over the newspaper. I think it's an improvement! Very Happy

I'm also very glad of course that my article got in. Cool Nice how you blended the picture with the background!

Dear Szark and all of the editorial Newspaper Team, that was again a
great read and an absolute pleasure, entertaining and informative as always... Very Happy

And Erik, I absolutely agree with your comments and I congratulate you on
your excellent "Drizzle for Dummies" contribution... That'll definitely encourage
people to get them started exploring MOUL/MystV ages again and/or even
the fan ages in case they were hesitantly for whatever reason by now... Razz

I also liked the Myst Alphabet by Artoveli and the way it is presented, of course
the "Did You Know?"s again... I didn't know any of them lol... And I love to read
all those news assembled in one place of the lovely, dedicated efforts of many
of our community members... I like esp. the appreciation of the great RL artworks
of some of them, like in this case of Jamey and our Moiety Jean... all provided
with direct links for our convenience and comfort...

All in all, the whole make-up continues to improve magically...

I could go on and on commenting about all the great things I've just read,
really... so, I'll better stop it now by thanking you all so much for all your
efforts and dedication again and again... Can't wait for the next edition... Very Happy

I'd already noticed some edits in my article (no big deal), but it took me until now to notice that my beautiful leading paragraph was cut. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

No criticism meant towards any of the Messengers; I'm sure you had good reasons for the edits. It's just a shame, because I think writing the leading paragraph is what took me longest! After all, I was taught that it was important to capture the reader's interest in the beginning. Oh well. Razz

If anyone wants to see the original article: http://uru.thecitadel.nl/Drizzle.pdf

Awww... Erik, just compared both and I can see no editing, just a
slight cut down here and there (mostly in the left means the first
parts of it) to fit the "whole thing" into "only one page" I believe...

Maybe reducing the size of the picture and leaving the beautiful leading
paragraph instead would've been a better solution... sorry for that, Erik...
but it's still great and a wonderful idea to provide everybody with this one... Very Happy

I was waiting for this and I have no idea why the Editor in Chef did that Erik. Theremin won't edit anything without good reason. I have worked long enough with Theremin to know this so I don't ask anymore. lol

All in all though Erik it is still a good technical article. I think I have grown a few layers of skin since the Archiver, oh the edits and it is still happening. Please don't let this put you off providing more. Your writing is good and it would be a shame to leave there. And don't worry Erik you are not the first to be taken back by the editing and you won't be the last.
