Right now, this is for the Seattle people. We are planning two Hours of Last Minute Sushi!

So we are without children for the weekend, and Eleri's birthday was just on Wednesday. So we've decided to have a last minute gathering at Blue C Sushi up at Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood! Woo!

When: Today (Sat Oct 25) at 8pm - 10pm
Where: Blue C Sushi at Alderwood Mall (http://www.bluecsushi.com/locations/alderwood.shtml)
What: Eleri and Blade unfettered by rampaging children, sushi, chat and other interesting things for cool people

Yeah we know this is last minute, but hey, we have free time and we're gonna use it! Come use it with us! (Don't take that out of context. Or do). Let us know if you can make it, or just swing by.

I had the chance to catch at it... besides that I'm glad, that you're without

Right now, I wish I could have taken the opportunity to see Eleri and Blade. Sad

The weekend was already busy.

I recently finished playing through Mother 3, aka Earthbound 2 (for Gameboy Advance) thanks to the translation patch they've been working on for 2 years at Starmen.net. (That is some Uru-caliber commitment. Rock on, fans.)
It's kinda haunting me. Along with the weird randomness and cute graphics that Earthbound had, this one has a surprisingly powerful emotional pull in the story. Lots of surprises, some fairly shocking. I also didn't get the closure at the end that Earthbound gave me by letting me walk around the world and talk to everyone again before going home for the credits. The music was also generally more unhappy-sounding, but it was as memorable and good as its predecessor.
Definitely a worthy game for the Mother/Earthbound name, even if it was a twelve-year wait and will probably never see an official North American release.

Right now, we've finished a casual Halloween fun-fest of sitting and watching Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes and dispensing candy to trick-or-treaters. Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!
