I know the comics are out of print, but does anyone have a lead as to where I could get my hands on some used ones?

Thanks for the info Professor, I've seen them a couple of times on EBay and wondered what they were like.

MYST (Original Mac Version)
MYST (Windows Version - Mac was better Very Happy )
RealMYST
Riven
Exile
Uru: Ages Beyone MYST

BoA
BoT

LOL Wink I have the Myst Hints and Solutions and that Rocket Ship puzzle with the keyboard just drives me insane everytime, although the book is no help with that as you have to reproduce the sound. I have the Exile book as well, but in my defence that did come free with the Exile Collectors Edition Wink

Ok, I'll fess up:

Uru

... that's it.

My Myst CD is somewhere in my parent's basement. Riven was my little brother's and I never finished it........ *ducks* *hides*

Never played Exile because it wasn't Cyan.

I did order the trilogy though! It should be in soon!

I have a lot of catching up to do!

I only have the Exile strategy guide bacause it came with my Collector's Edition as well. It was tempting me to use it, but I refrained.

I have never used a hint book walkthrough or strategy to beat a Myst game. I only used a info one the eastereggs after beating the games.

Right on, Tehl! There's no fun in exploration if you have a book tell you what to do.

I can't tell you how irritated I was when I was in my wife's bookstore (she manages a local Barnes & Noble, God bless her..) and saw the Uru strategy guide on the shelves... BEFORE I got my invitation to go... uh... go to the that place we can't go anymore. Rolling Eyes

I would have liked to see the Exile guide, tho. I heard it had a little more backstory to what Sirrus and Achenar did to torture Saavedro. It's my secret hope that they will someday write books to fill the voids between the games.

It's my second secret hope that I spelled "Sirrus", "Achenar", and "Saavedro" properly. Very Happy

Yeah, ... I admit it.

It's a good thing I had a great group of people to back me up when people started asking deep questions. The good thing is, I really do know a lot about everything now, I pick things up really fast. (Also, Farlesis and his never ending trove of information really helps a lot.) I really was just in the right place at the right time with the right ideas, but I'm really glad I was.

It just goes to show that anyone can change the world. Cool

Thanks for the link Kiki, I did see on ebay that there is a hardback edition of BoD up for auction and it wasn't expensive, whether more people have place a bid since I saw it I don't know. For those who haven't got the books, they are always up for auction on EBay and usually going for around $12 instead of the $80 that I've seen in places like Amazon.

I'm sure I read somewhere there were five comics made?

Nope. Definitely only two comics were ever printed. What you probably were reading was a reference to the fact that #1 of the Book of the Black Ships" series was one of four. Together with Myst #0 that would total five. However, they only printed #1, there was no 2-4. I emailed Dark Horse Comics to confirm this so I would stop looking for no reason.
