I believe this rumour.

That's correct! The D'ni were one known as "poppycocks," but by popular vote they changed their collective name to "D'ni."
The poppycocks lived on sunlight and moss.

I seriously doubt that the Poppycocks lived on both sunlight and moss, as the systems necessary to process these two radically different metabolic systems would so burden the life-form that it wouldn't be able to do anything but vacillate between sunbeams and damp shady places. The result would be a Cavern Fence-Sitter, which ecological niche the DRC have already taken. Hence, this theory is poppycock. QED. Smile
