Thank you very much
I thought the same thing but I wanted to be sure I don't make an error.
Thanks again _________________ Le bonheur fuit celui qui le cherche |

For the "bottled lightning", I have found
It's "une lampe à plama" in French.
Thanks again. _________________ Le bonheur fuit celui qui le cherche |

"Bottled lightning" ! There is something that is hard to find explained well in a Google search. A search on these words alone won't reveal the meaning.
It's whiskey. Hard alcohol. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I wanted to discuss what I cut from the script. I'll do that now.
Primarily, I cut out the funny stuff. It hurt to cut out the jokes and the dancing, because it livens up the episode so much. A lot of Tweek's lines were cut... he's a very funny guy and said a lot of amusing things. The dancing... unfortunately would have been very difficult to implement, technically, with Douglas doing a shuffle-clap while everyone else danced like their pants were lit on fire.
I would have liked to have kept more of the funny dialogue, but then the Episode would have been 15 pages again, not 11.
Also, humor can be especially difficult to translate, and we are trying to reach an international audience. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Is it perhaps a possibility to film some avatars dancing in URU:CC? Although that would be a lot of work for basically no real content.
It's a shame the funny stuff needs to be cut... it shows more about the characters of the DRC members. But I guess there's no other way.
I've noticed that some watchers (mostly those who aren't really into the storyline, but those are just the ones we really need to reach) of the episodes are getting bored after some minutes, is that the reason for the trimming? |

It's really too bad to have to leave out the humorous parts of the story,
I wish you could avoid that, partially at least...
...as of the dancing scenes or other actions, I would contact Ashtar...
I'm sure he'll find a way... |

Yeah, I considered cutting that too, but it lends so much character to the people involved that you just don't see in the debating. Particularly the part about dancing; with so much dialogue in this episode, I think it's nice to have a moment of levity that breaks up the monotony of all the talking. Otherwise this episode comes across as a chatlog with pictures behind it, which frankly, just isn't very interesting. Personal opinion.
But, the director can cut where he will, so I'll submit to that. _________________

That's really great, thank you semplerfi
Now I understand what that means, though it's still difficult to find
the appropriate german (in my case) expression for it... |

The other translations are exactly as explained - Least = Bahro, "quieting" = supressing.
And now a reminder:
Filming for Episode 6 will take place on Saturday, August 4, beginning at 10AM Cavern Time (9 AM Pacific). All filming for this episode will take place in the Great Tree Bevin. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

shroah everyone,
me too have questions on the translation
the first is the same Annick is asking
and the second:
in some cases it isn't clear what's the gender of some people, and i need them because in Italian the verbs are conjugated in different ways depending on the gender of who's talking.
so i need to know the genders of:
jess and LaReh
thank you |

Christoph05: I feel when I have; it has fallen upon deaf ears, Victor.
This statement loses meaning without the context of Victor's preceding line.
Chris is saying: "I believe when I have (offered to help), (my offer) has fallen on deaf ears.
Genders:
I don't know about Jess. It could be a derivation of either Jessica (female) or Jesse (male). I'm guessing female because that name is more likely to be abbreviated.
LaReh is male. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.
