Right now I'm repeating my previous post to fix this page since I can't think of anything witty to say.

Right now I am warming up in the office after driving over ice and slidding Texans to arrive and find out the meeting I drove all this way for was just cancelled. I love my job! At least it's going to rain and sleet more before I get to go home!

wow, hi there!

Tell you what, there's no better way to stop a car sliding uncontrollably down a hill than to ram it unmercifully into the curb. Except when you then proceed to jump the curb and keep sliding down the sidewalk. In the middle of my urban neighborhood.

Ask my buddy, he was driving. I was only riding shotgun... he he

Safe and sound now though! And Right Now the snow is all melty and slushy and no problem to drive in again. I'm so glad it only lasted a day...

/me has flashbacks to the only time he has ever been in an accident, where he totalled a car sliding on black ice...

Right now, I'm searching for my blow torch so I can melt the black ice on the Texas highways for Azetc. Wink

We don't seem to get snow here... just sleet, sleet, and more sleet! Sad

Right now: How to NOT drive in the snow and ice (in Portland). Don't slam on your brakes--you loose control of your car even more!

Notice a recurring theme in that video?

People thinking: "I've got an SUV! I can drive whereever I want, however I want! Who cares if I get 5 miles per gallon? HA! It's the American way!"

People are such idiots. Evil or Very Mad

::wince..... wince... /stop! ... wince::

That HAD to be a hill. There's no way a car would just keep sliding sideways like that on a level surface, even if it was ice.
Though.. I dunno. Where I come from people get studded tires in the winter.

And they don't drive like they're on gravel.

Right now, I heard a soft knocking outside my window, so I looked out and saw a beautiful bluejay on the fence 3 feet from the window, with a whole peanut in its beak, and another on the fence by its feet. It flew up to the neighbor's gutter pipe and stashed the one, and took the other and flew out of sight. Very Happy

Wow I "rolled" at work seeing that! Jeeeze! As funny as that was to watch I feel bad for them too, but I'm glad that it doesnt look like anyone got hurt, all the people over there looked way better off walking. This also reminds me to be UBER safe, and to continue walking when I can. The grocery store is only a few blocks away, it's ridiculous for me to consider driving there since it's so close no matter the conditions outside.

That video should be played to "The Blue Danube"

Just because you got 4WD, don't make you invincible.

Right on.

4 wheel drive, all wheel drive, advanced traction control, all that's great to get moving... but none of it means a darn thing when you try to *stop*.

Oy Vey.

Right now I've just downloaded Amy Winehouses's album 'Back to Black' from itunes and its brilliant. She kind of sounds like Billie Holiday. Close your eyes and you could be in some hip jazz cafe on a sunday.

Right now I'm wondering why I'm still at school and it's 10 PM. *blinkblinkstare*
