Right now I'm very happy. Ip problems seem to have been smoothed out, I've signed up to Gametap and now downloading the Uru client so I could very well be in tonight, although briefly as its getting late. But will definitely be in tomorrow at some point Smile

Right now I just got out of my first session of Consumer Marketing class. My teacher is a total geek; she assigned us a quarter-long group project based on analyzing BATTLESTAR GALACTICA's popularity and fan base. Shocked My friend just recruited me last weekend to dress up like Starbuck at the next convention, so I asked my teacher if I could wear the costume while giving my presentation and she said, "I don't care! Present naked if you want!"

ROFFLE!

O Seattle BATTLESTAR GALACTICA geek friends, I must call upon your sacred knowledge of the show at some point as well as letting me borrow your DVDs. Please? *puppydog eyes* (Brian [and Jean] are going to get me another "A" on a marketing project. Rolls.)

Right now I am saying 'bah' at Battlestar Galactica. I'm a BSG purist - I love the original series. Wink

Hehehe! We don't have the DVDs or cable.. we got all the episodes on iTunes.

That show seriously pwns me though. The end of each episode brings an exasperated "ARG!" from wanting to know what happens next.

But if you want to watch BSG with us, Saxypants, you're more than welcome. ^_^

I love the new BSG! I don't have the DVDs yet but I do have the 2 hour mini-series/pilot. I would be happy to loan that out.

My mother (who I live with) has got the DVDs for the first 2 seasons and the movie, but I'm somewhat concerned about season 3 (although don't spoil it for me please!).

OMFG I LOVE BSG! IM A FRACKING GEEK FOR IT. I even have all the soundtracks which are FRACKING HOT. I've only seen some episodes and clips of the original series and they make me nauseous.

So make sure you watch the 2003 minisieries first!

For your project it's also notable that the pirating of the miniseries and first season is thought to be one of the biggest reasons as to why the miniseries became a show and got so popular once it was released on DVD. An unusually high amount of people bought the DVD compared to its also awesome ratings when it was aired on TV. Technically it was a huge grassroots exposure for the TV show. I think there were even estimated numbers as to how many saw the show pirated from the internet.

I haven't watched since I was a kid... but I had BSG action figures. They played with my Star Wars and Strawberry Shortcake dolls.

What is it with all the mid 70s early 80s toys getting re released, doesn't anyone have new ideas?

Right now, am going back to bed!
