I don't much care for it either. I was offered a cilantro salad once that was pretty much just cilantro and shaved carrots with this vinegar dressing. I couldn't turn it down out of politeness, and it was.... brrrrr...

I can stand a tiny bit of cilantro.... but erg! I can't imagine a whole salad of it.

It's a strange thing. It tastes slightly soapy to me, and I swear it makes hot food taste hotter, even though the plant does not by itself taste hot.

but i love indian spice anyway Wink

a whole salad would be too much, even to me. lol
you should ad just a pinch at the end, then it's great.

We accidentally made lasagna with cilantro one time - the recipe called for fresh parsley, and my friend couldn't tell the difference at the store. Laughing It was the best lasagna I ever had...

cilantro does taste soapy to lots of people... I know I've seen the reason why, but I can't remember it off the tip on my head. I don't mind it in small doses.
